Summers in Dallas can be scorching hot and humid, with high humidity levels and soaring temperatures. Mosquitoes and other bugs are also quite prevalent during this time, so bug protection is a must.

Winter Season: Mild or Unpredictable

Dallas winters can be mild or surprising, with temperatures ranging from single digits to the 80s. While snow and ice are not frequent, occasional ice storms can lead to unique experiences like skating on icy streets. The absence of slopes for skiing means finding creative ways to enjoy the rare snowfall, such as sledding in parks or finding hills in neighborhoods.

Fences surrounding properties are typically wooden, and their condition and appearance may vary depending on neighbors' maintenance efforts. Politics and Diversity

Contrary to stereotypes, Dallas is a diverse city with a range of political viewpoints. While the urban areas and certain suburbs lean towards the Democratic side, the region as a whole showcases political diversity. In the last election, in my own neighborhood, one neighbor had Beto O'Rourke yard signs and the other is string conservative. Other than some of the rural area that can be very conservative politically, many areas the ratio is barely Republican with them taking home just over 50% of the vote. So its not as a Conservative as you might think.
